Serious Science and Christian Faith Incompatible?

Go ahead, tell me that old wives tale again.

Question: What do you get when you cross a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford, an associate of the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion, and a young man who grew up in rural Africa who had a pet chimpanzee? You get one person: Ard Louis. If you don’t know who he is, you should. Here are a few samples:

    Love Ard Louis.

I always enjoy Dr. Ard Louis’ talks. He’s always thoughtful with his opinions.

Something I sometimes tell students is that science is very good at explaining what IS – it is utterly unable to answer questions about what ought to be, at least in any ultimate way. In that much, at least, science and religion (especially in its moral aspects) occupy different spheres, although I am not so eager to draw a hard separation between them as some.
