Fun with the Mosaic Law: What to Do with Your Ox in a Flowchart

by drmsheiser | Apr 14, 2014

You have to check this out. The flowchart on what the Law says about oxen was created by a friend at Logos, Vincent Setterholm, a few years ago. I’m glad to see it’s finally gotten the attention it deserves via Christianity Today. This alone should make you glad that you don’t live under the Mosaic Law.

I wonder what the Hebrew Roots folks would do with this.

Editor’s note: link is hard to read/behind a paywall.  Here is the chart:

Pretty sad that you regard our Heavenly Father’s instructions with such disdain, Dr. Heiser.

The happy man of Psalm 1 delights in Father’s teachings, meditating on them day and night.

      boy are you uptight.

The chart is hilarious! And I doubt you meditate on oxen care day and night, right?

I didn’t take it as ‘disdain’, rather I took it as subtlety.

Dr. Heiser was clearly taking a humorous jab at ‘legalists’. Was the humour lost on you?

Excellent flow chart. I can tell it was not in the traditional left to right, but what can you do with a non-IT or engineering page in HTML?

  3. MSH

Correct – I don’t meditate on oxen. I also don’t think that was David’s point, either.

  4. Stephen

What do you think David’s point was, Dr. Heiser?

That’s pretty funny. I would like to see the flowchart on what to do with your Midianite daughter in law after she becomed widowed by a farming disaster.
