Free PDFs for Some Articles by Mike

by drmsheiser | Nov 4, 2010

I just found out via Liberty University (I’m adjunct for them in their distance program) that I can post links on my blog to free PDF articles that I have written.  I presume they have cleared everything with respect rights or they wouldn’t be suggesting this to increase readership. So, here you go if you are interested (I don’t imagine you have to have any sort of user name or password).

Monotheism, Polytheism, Monolatry, or Henotheism? Toward an Assessment of
Divine Plurality in the Hebrew Bible
” (Bulletin of Biblical Research)

Are Yahweh and El Distinct Deities in Deut. 32:8-9 and Psalm 82?” (Hiphil journal)

Deuteronomy 32:8 and the Sons of God” (BibSac)

Does Deuteronomy 32:17 Assume or Deny the Reality of Other Gods?” (Bible Translator)

    Thanks for the papers btw, question regarding your paper on Yahweh v El;

    Does Exo 6:3 have any bearing at all on the name change or is it a separate issue that has more to do with Ugarit and Israel’s neighbours ?

      most scholars link it to the name change or (perhaps better) the new name introduced at Sinai.

    Thanks Mike for the links. It is very helpful for those of us who do not have access to many of these theological journals.

      I would recommend getting a “community borrower” membership at a local college or university – any higher ed institution. With it will often come access to journal databases, where you can obtain journal articles in PDF for free.
