Precisely. As illustrated by one of the best scenes in X-Files history: Here's the article from the Daily Beast.

UFOs Over Nuclear Bases and the Paul Bennewitz Affair
Robert Hastings recently posted an essay that intertwines these two familiar UFO research topics: UFOs Filmed Hovering Over U.S. Air Force Nuclear Weapons Storage Area: Important New Revelations about the Paul Bennewitz Affair. The connection? In a sentence: ". . ....
True Lies: The Reality of UFO Deception
Jack Brewer recently posted a short, cogent essay defending the reality of UFO "mirage men" -- government disinformation agents whose work propelled (propels?) UFO interest and inquiry in decades gone by. His post most immediately defends the perspective of James...
Leading Conspiracist Jim Marrs Claims I’m a Government Informant
[Had to re-post this.] Awesome - I always knew I'd make it! Today I got an email that included this paragraph from the most recent Jim Marrs book (he's known for promoting just about every conspiracy under the sun): "Researchers that worked with Michael Heiser (that...
Part 2 of My Thoughts About a New Book on Triangular UFOs: Missing the Airbus
I'm nearly done with David Marler's new book Triangular UFOs: An Estimate of the Situation. In my preliminary thoughts about the book, I discussed the logical inadequacies of some of the assertions in the book's preface, written by Col. John B. Alexander. The gist of...
Thoughts on a New Book About Triangular UFOs, Part 1
I'm about a third of the way through the recently released book by David Marler, Triangular UFOs: An Estimate of the Situation. Despite what I'll say below, my feeling at this point is that this is an important book that anyone with an interest in UFOs should have....
CIA, Mind Control, Alien Abduction: Addendum
I recently blogged about Jack Brewer's series on government mind controls programs and their potential overlap with alien abduction reports. As Facade readers know, mind control was one of the sub-threads in the novel. That previous post pointed readers to two posts...
Steven Greer Supporters ‘Siriusly’ Angry at Steven Greer
Well, DUH. This is what happens when you promote the work of a charlatan. Cris Putnam has posted a list of the Top Ten Comments posted online about Steven Greer's Sirius film. It's worth a read, unless you've worshipped at Greer's altar for his version of UFO...
UFO Propaganda in Movies and TV Shows: Robbie Graham Interview
Jack Brewer of the excellent blog, The UFO Trail, recently interviewed Robbie Graham, who blogs at the fascinating Silver Screen Saucers. The thrust of the interview is that motion pictures and television have far greater potential to influence beliefs about UFOs and...
Jesus, Klingons, and DARPA
[Thanks to Cris for this link.] According to the Washington Post, the Pentagon apparently spent $100,000 for a workshop on interstellar space travel, which included a session that asked, "Did Jesus die for Klingons, too?" Taxpayers aren't thrilled, to say the least....
Mirage Men Trailer
I wasn't aware that the Mirage Men, a book I reviewed here some months ago, was being made into a documentary film. I liked the book, so hopefully the film will be well done. Here's a look at the recently released teaser-trailer. Editor's note: broken link to the...
Tom DeLonge: Stop the Madness
Robert Sheaffer has another funny-but-sad essay on the antics of Tom DeLonge, he of Blink182 fame (I confess to not knowing anything about the group, but it helps with Google search results so there it is). Sheaffer chronicles some fake photos and such that DeLonge...
The FBI, the Science Fiction Writer, and the ET Hypothesis for Flying Saucers
Jason Colavito has written a fascinating post entitled, "Documents Detail the FBI's Theory That Science Fiction Editor Ray Palmer Helped Create the Flying Saucer Myth." It's well worth your time. No one would deny that, in the mid-20th century, there were many...
$52.6 Billion = U.S. Black Budget
The Washington Post has published a Black Budget summary, complete with dollar distribution among U.S. agencies and project category expenditures. I highly recommend the link - and clicking on the interactive Black Budget display on the Post's site. It's pretty cool...
Why Conspiracy Thinking Can Be So Incoherent
You just HAVE to watch the video below (7:00). It's clear and to the point, and you'll no doubt have a laugh or two - a video on how Luke Skywalker's destruction of the Death Star was *really* an inside job. It's very well done and has almost two million views on...
